Basanti Puja Celebrated at Ind- Bangla Border at Mekhliganj

Webdesk, TNI Mekhliganj, 3rd April, 2017: The inhabitants of Changrabandha Border areas under Mekhliganj Block celebrated the Basanti Puja from today. For the last two years, the Basanti puja is being celebrated here. The villagers of the area are literally in a joyful mood today i.e. Maha Saptami. In this occasion, a procession for world peace came out from Changrabandha by the residents of Hazrapara of Mekhliganj Block. The procession started from Changrabandha Market and ended at the same spot after traversing a distance along the banks of River Dharala. The puja organizers informed TNI that tomorrow a feast for feeding the poorer people of the society is also organized on the occasion of the Maha Asthami of Basanti Puja.
